Taste of Christmas Celebrates Record Visitor Numbers Before Doors Open

Celebrating its best restaurant and chef line-up to date, Taste of Christmas, taking place from 2nd to 4th December at London’s ExCeL, has already announced record numbers of visitors (30,000) - three days before the show opens its doors.

With some of the world’s biggest names including Jamie Oliver, Gary Rhodes, Hugh Fearnley-Whittingstall and Michel Roux Jr.  taking to the AEG Theatre and La Patisserie Peugeot stage over the weekend, limited tickets for Saturday’s sold out show are being made available on the door so as not to disappoint visitors travelling from around the UK.

Two exciting pop up restaurants have also caused a stir amongst food lovers with upgrades now being made available onsite for Jamie’s Big Feastival Pop-Up Restaurant – a new area seating 2,000 people over the weekend and helping raise funds with £2 from every ticket sold going to support The Jamie Oliver Foundation. The Action Against Hunger pop up restaurant will also hope to raise over £10,000 for the humanitarian organisation with guest chefs Francesco Mazzei (Friday), Anna Hansen (Saturday) and legendary Aldo Zilli (Sunday) hosting the pop up.

Head of marketing, Lupe Prada, is delighted with the numbers: “We’ve got the best restaurant and chef line-up we’ve ever had this year so in many ways I’m not surprised that some days have already sold out. We’ve always been proud of offering a combination of world class chefs alongside a huge choice of quality ingredients from over 150 seasonal producers and handmade gifts from about 50 boutiques. People still want to try and buy the best quality, even more so at Christmas.”
